Review of Top Five (2014) by Tazio G — 18 Dec 2014
Chris Rock as a comedian, is pound for pound, one of the funniest to hit the stage. His acting career however, doesn't match up nearly as well in comparison. What could have been another needless cash grab by a funny man (looking at you Adam Sandler) turns out to be Chris Rock's career best work as the lead actor, director, and writer of his new film Top Five.
This film really took me by surprise for its earnest story telling and sharp writing that adds to the obviously very funny comedy that ensues.
