Review of Top Five (2014) by Luis Y — 25 Dec 2014
One of the funniest movies of the year, Chris Rock crushes this role, and brings back originality in the comedy genre. I love how he touches on topics such as alcoholism, the media's obsession with celebrities, and reality television.
Standout performances such as cedric the entertainer, dmx, and dawson bring out the comedy even more for Rock. This is a film, I felt like, should have been made for Eddie Murphy. The shoutouts in the film were apparent that Rock wanted to make a love letter for him.
Again, I had a blast watching this movie, its definitely one for the collection.
