Review of Top Five (2014) by Reve S — 19 Feb 2015

I already rated this once, and I wrote an in depth reason. Somehow the rating is gone, so this time I'll make it short. I thought it was one of the most shallow and crass movies I have ever seen. It relied purely on extreme sexuality and low brow humor to keep its audience, while character development and plot was non-existent or extremely rudimentary, In addition, the movie was so close to pure porn that I don't understand why it wasn't shown as a porn movie somewhere else instead of at a regular movie theater.

I would have given it no stars if possible, and I was so miserable watching it that I had to grit my teeth in order to not walk out (I stupidly felt obligated to stay because I was with others). I can truly say that I am now worse off for having watched that movie.

It made life seem raunchy and cheap, and the I can't imagine it being funny unless you see life from the perspective of the gutter and don't value it much.
