Review of Top Five (2014) by Logan M — 06 Jun 2015
Top Five is Chris Rock's attempt to be Woody Allen, to write, direct and star in own film, which a bad aspiration. The problem is Chris Rock isn't much of a leading man, he's barely a movie star, and that is why this movie was doomed from its conception.
This movie could of worked as a premise if it started possibly, if not only, Eddie Murphy. Chris Rock isn't a good enough actor to play A list to suspend your disbelief to fully buy into this film.
