Review of Tootsie (1982) by Darrell H — 08 Oct 2008
Ah, what a comedy. A satisfying foray into the realm of gender reversal. Pollack handles Hoffman, Murray and Lange deftly, massaging great laughs from the notoriously hard-to-work-with Hoffman. Tries to offer some insight into the perils of relationships and the status of women in the eighties, and succeeds on many levels.
Wonderful film.
