Review of Tony Takitani (2004) by Benjamin V — 19 Jun 2008
Ok it's arthouse but I was won over by just how this film really makes you feel the loneliness of the main character. Everything works towards it. The soundtrack, the sets, the characters, the right tracking camera all builds such a sense of isolation.
I haven't felt so quiet or slowed during a film for a long time. I think watching this film is like walking through a Tadao Ando building on your own....
