Review of Tony Takitani (2004) by Keiichi F — 13 Jan 2009
I'm not sure about this film. I've read Haruki Murakami's books before and this film's approach with the minimalistic tone, acting and use of music is definitely what I usually get from the books, so it's quite well interpreted.
But it doesn't mean it's a very good film... I found it quite dull actually. I know it's a film about solitude and deafening loneliess but it's not a very compelling story. Maybe I need to watch it again??
