Review of Toni Erdmann (2016) by Trevor W — 16 Nov 2016
A German film about a goofy father who spends time unannounced to attempt to reconnect with his busybody daughter. At a nearly 3 hour running time, one may think Toni Erdmann would drag, however the balance of the tight dramedy screenplay and deft performances makes this story intriguing and clever.
It also contains a birthday party scene that left the audience in uproarious laughter and applause.
