Review of Toni Erdmann (2016) by Mark K — 12 Mar 2017
This movie IS long, as many have noticed, but, surprisingly, despite its relatively slow pace and the fact that it is built almost entirely around human dialogues and interactions over the course of several days, it doesn't feel boring.
Actually much less boring than many action films with a lot of effects and action supposedly going on. Huller and Simonischek did a great job enacting a tumultuous relationship between a father and daughter.
Their performances are exemplary and you care about what happens to them a lot.
