Review of Tomorrowland (2015) by Jerry A — 06 Mar 2016
This movie gets a lot of hate and I honestly don't see why. while, it's not a perfect movie, it did surprise me very much. going into it, I wasn't expecting much if anything due to the negative things I heard about it, but I walked out satisfied.
it's first two acts pulled me into this world and my eyes were glued to the screen the whole time. it's very ambitious, and it's visuals are absolutely stunning especially when they enter "Tomorrowland".
Britt Robertson gives a star making performance and George Clooney is great, too obviously. also, the little girl who played Athena was fantastic, too. my only problem with this was in its final 30 minutes it really fell apart and some of the directions it took really confused me and I thought it really went against the established formula of the first hour and a half of the film.
I very much enjoyed Tomorrowland and I thought it was a very thrilling adventure in its first hour and a half before falling apart in its last half hour. however, I thought there were more positives to outweigh its negatives.
