Review of Tomorrow Never Dies (1997) by Daniel C — 04 May 2011
Bond investigates media mogul Elliott Carver for the sinking of a British Naval ship in the South China Sea. Carver owns a global reaching media company and has turned to creating his own news and sparking a war so he can expand his media empire further.
According to other reviews here, Tomorrow Never Dies is just 'another' Bond film in a franchise that is quickly becoming tired (as it was in the 90's). For me, Tomorrow... is one of my favourite Bond films as I think it was the first one I got to see in the cinema and for me it holds one of the best stories where all the pieces fall together, each scene has a purpose and it feels somewhat believable. Somewhat :P.
For the Pierce Brosnan films, I think Tomorrow Never Dies would be the pick of the bunch :).
