Review of Tomorrow Never Dies (1997) by Jake C — 22 Mar 2018
While Brosnan's second turn as 007 is a slight step down from the operatic tragedy of Goldeneye, there is a lot of classic action and fun in this sophomore effort nonetheless. Yeoh is every part Bond's equal and gets her own (if all too brief) time to shine, the gadgets (especially the videophone/car) have only become more believable and bleeding edge, but the real standout is Pryce as a Steve Jobs/Rupert Murdoch hybrid that is remarkably prescient and increasingly relevant today.
