Review of Tomorrow Never Dies (1997) by Cassidy U — 17 Sep 2012
This has actually turned into one of my all-time favorite Bond films. It has an unforgettable villain in Elliot Carver, a man full of twisted dimensions and hideous plots. The strong Citizen Kane-like theme, taken to a polar extreme, makes for an interesting take on the Bond franchise that has had difficulty finding consistent tone and theme ever since the Timothy Dalton era.
And David Arnold ushers in a new scoring era that returns to the more appropriate, sexy orchestral, James Barry signature sound from earlier films. This is easily the BEST of the BROSNAN-BUNCH!
