Review of Tombstone (1993) by James R — 14 Jul 2010
This is one of my favorite Country movies of all time now that I have seen it. Being that I am not a country fan it is hard to impress me when it comes to that Genre but Kurt Russell and Val Kilmer are awesome in their rolls as Wyatt Earp and Doc Holliday.
The idea that the Cowboy's are the bad guys and a band of 3 brothers and there drunk gambling friend are the heroes is a twist on the genre. The brutality of Kurt Russell's character after he become's the Marshall is very awesome to me.
When Holliday kills the man that Wyatt is meaning to stop it is such a shocking turn of events. It almost gives you this bitter sweet taste that Wyatt doesn't get to finish what he started but yet the guy is finally dead.
The movie did have a problem with dragging on and could have ended at least once but did not. All and All it was a very enjoyable movie.
