Review of Tomb Raider (2018) by Roguetiger — 17 Mar 2018
Alicia Vikander is perfect as a young Lara Croft. What people don't seem to understand is that this is a reimagining of the franchise, not the one Jolie portrayed. This Lara is more independent, raw, and explores her beginnings as an adventurer.
While it is based on a video game it isn't boxed in by tropes. It is its own entity with more going for it than just the lead character.
