For a remake of a movie based on a video game this was very good. A sleeker more street Lara than Angelina Jolie "I'm not that kind of Croft" she says often. Vulnerable but tenacious she gives her physical all in just overcoming whatever obstacle is thrown at her, whether bike couriers, Chinese gangs or precipitous WWII airplanes.

Very well made and very enjoyable. CGI and production are great. The story is interesting in a " Raiders of the Lost Ark" vibe with fantastical locations and for fanboys there is tie in with the game for the shipwreck.

The villains are one dimensional and it’s a plain goodie vs baddie story. Nice and simple and perfectly fine for a Tomb Raider movie.
