Review of Tom Jones (1963) by Ryan D — 05 Mar 2010
Tom Jones is about a guy named Tom Jones. He is the son of a servant and is raised by the servant's master as if he were the guy's own son. He has a lavish lifestyle and meets a girl he loves. She also loves him and they want to marry but they're all from high society and since he was born out of wedlock her parents forbid it. This is a comedy that won best picture along with 3 other Oscars. The only part of this movie I found particularly enjoyable was the opening sequence which was in the style of a silent film and quite well done. Other than that it was merely mediocre.
69/100.
