I was so looking forward to this movie, as a lifelong Clancy fan. Unfortunately, this thing just stinks to high heaven.Clancy would be very disappointed.
As far as the character (John Clark): Not only does the movie NOT follow the book, it is a complete contrast to it. Things the author had established related to the character are no longer, rewritten to satisfy certain agendas.
As far as the movie: There have been some real stinkers in this series. Previously, the worst (in my opinion) would have been The Sum of all Fears with Afleck. Surprisingly, this movie sinks even further than that one to take the place of "the worst". The acting is rather weak, the script seems to be just horribly done .
This COULD have been a awesome movie, had they followed the book , kept the characters intact and NOT messed up Clancy’s work . Sadly , they did exactly the opposite.
