Review of Tom Clancy's Without Remorse (2021) by Drlowdon — 22 May 2021
Following the rescue of a CIA Operative a team of US Navy SEALs, including Senior Chief John Kelly, find themselves targeted for retaliation. Having not read the book on which this movie is based I cannot make any comparisons or comment on how little it resembles its source material.
As such, I can only judge Without Remorse on its own, and to be honest it’s the very definition of a by the numbers action flick. It isn’t completely terrible by any means, but not even the usually excellent Michael B Jordan can elevate the predictable plot or fairly forgettable action sequences above mediocrity.
Judging by the post credits scene it seems as though the creators may be trying to set up a series of films, based on this I can’t say I’m all that interested...
