Review of Tokyo Sonata (2008) by Dave C — 02 Sep 2009
Though it has a rather contrived third movement and seems too much of a laundry list of the ills that assault modern Japan, this is still a brilliant and moving effort by Kiyoshi Kurosawa, with great performances, including from long-time collaborator Koji Yakusho.
