Review of Tokyo Gore Police (2008) by D M — 20 Oct 2012
A pretty twisted comedic horror-action film set in futuristic Japan which follows a quasi-military police force as they battle powerful mutant criminals set against a back story of a woman avenging her father's murder.
Being Japanese, its got some nutso ideas which are lost on me (weapons form from wounds on the mutants, the "key" that used to make people into mutants, etc). The story also has too many twists.
The interstitial commercials were amazing, and can stand alone! Japanese horror fans must not miss this (if you enjoy this, also check out "Battlefield Baseball" and "Happiness of the Katakuris").
