Review of To the Bone (2017) by David J — 10 Aug 2017
I honestly think that my opinion of this film scarcely matters, as whether it creates a positive impact for those with eating disorders and their families is whats truly important. I do however, for what its worth, think this is a nice little movie.
I'm impressed by Lily Collins, who I've never thought for her acting ability, and Keanu Reeves. think the film smartly ends on a hopeful but unfinished note and its respectful for the most part.
The male love interest/friend, portrayed by Sharp was uneven, almost a little irritating, but he was certainly not some film-breaker. To The Bone hopefully spreads some hope and awareness, and its not a bad Netflix release to boot.
