Review of To Sir, with Love (1967) by Venkatesh V — 20 Oct 2010
A sweet, but ridiculously dated movie. Apparently in the 60s, a kid's idea of deliquency was dancing in the gymnasium? Okay ... This was like a weird mash-up of the pilot of Boston Public, the museum field trip episode of Full House were Michelle knocked down the dinosaur skeleton, and Footloose.
Sidney Poitier commands respect from the kids by simply being Sidney Poitier. That's about the entire story. And we hear Lulu's rendition of the title song at least four times. Great song, but the Glee cast did it better.
