Review of To Save a Life (2009) by Roger M — 19 Sep 2010
Why can't even a "Christian" film be thought provoking with out being obviously preachy? Had some good moments regarding real life, but it just failed to pull off being genuine and felt un-cohesive and at times trite.
There wasn't enough effort for character development (there had to be more to the kid shooting himself then just being ignored; a divorce, abuse, etc. and how did he get the gun?), which hurt the film's adequacy to make them more believable.
I know this will touch some in one way, but it leaves out a whole audience that it could be more accessible to. Another half-made effort that could have been better.
