Review of To Rome with Love (2012) by Brent B — 21 Jul 2012
Great movie. Insightful, playful and fun while taking the audience on a beautiful tour of Rome. Essentially 3 unrelated stories, each highlighting an absurd aspect of everyday human behaviour: 1-society selecting totally undeserving people for instant fame (with the rediculous and undeserved benefits), 2- having a wonderful partner only to willingly throw it away for the excitment of the wrong and troubled new person, 3- having a talent but not following that dream.
This movie is not supposed to be taken too seriously, just fun stories. Because this movie doesn't specifically verbalize these messages, I guess some simple minded movie goers are not able to grasp these intellectual messages.
As for the professional critics.... Shame on you for for not accepting these very clever messages wrapped in sometime silly, but always fun scenes.
