Review of To Rome with Love (2012) by Tracy M — 22 Mar 2013
I was surprised how much I enjoyed this. Allen has been working these themes for half a century and, amazingly, he still has things to say. These not quite intersecting stories deal with celebrity, the fickleness of romantic love, the power of sexual attraction, hindsight, art, and pretty much everything else you'd expect from an Allen film.
That it still manages to be charming and quite often hilarious is a testament to Allen and the timelessness of those themes. I appreciate him more every year.
