Review of To Rome with Love (2012) by Joe I — 04 Aug 2013
As a fan of Woody Allen's, I can't bring myself to hate this film. It is an enjoyable film, the acting is well done (with special accolades going to Roberto Benigni and Penelope Cruz). The stories are interesting and at the same time realistic.
Would I like to see them overlap, that would of been nice. When you compare it to the likes of Annie Hall, The Purple Rose of Cairo, or the recent Midnight In Paris, it doesn't seem that great but compare it to the likes of other downplayed Allen films such as Anything Else and Whatever Works it can rank pretty high.
My vote is it is a film to see and make your own opinion on.
