"i have something really important to tell you, but I won't tell you now, I just hope one day you will understand..." so why don't you just fucking say it right fucking now, you stupid fucking bitch!?! Almodovar's 'trois couleurs: rouge' salute to women is beautifully crafted, but frustrating.
it portrays women as lying, self-involved untrusting martyrs and victims of men and each other - it's all stupid characters making stupid decisions. the half the pointless mess could have been avoided if the daughter just fucked the father (who really wasn't her father anyway) - he was kinda hot.
