Review of To Live and Die in L.A. (1985) by Mark B — 31 Jul 2008
This movie is a shitload better than I remember it being. In fact, aside from the music, this movie hasn't aged poorly at all. All performances are good, and the direction never seems to take a right-turn on any of the potential storytelling cliches - at least not extensively.
I'd say this is definitely one of Friedkin's better films and it has my vote for the greatest carchase ever put to American celluloid.
