Review of To Live and Die in L.A. (1985) by Richard W — 25 Nov 2007
Enjoyable thriller with another fine performance from William Petersen. The infamous car chase lives up to its reputation and the ending although not entirely unexpected is well done. On the downside I felt there were some narrative jumps at times that made me wonder if the film had been messed about with and the characters aren't always the most sympathetic so I found it difficult to engage with them as much as I would have liked.
Also the 80's style etc unfortunately dates badly but overall the good points definitely out weigh the bad ones.
