Review of To End All Wars (2001) by David S — 10 Mar 2009
A very moving war moving with great performances. The idea was to tell the story of Captain Ernest Gordon and his life in a Japanese POW camp. There were many scenes about torture and violence. They also showed how the men coped with their capture and the cultural differences.
The most shocking scenes would either be the crucifixion and the ending suicide. The film had a lot of messages about justice and the right thing to do. It was moving and had a deep message. I enjoyed the movie.
