Review of To Die For (1995) by Roy C — 02 Oct 2010
Instantly it's remarkable how the interactivity with the camera is exploited and forms a clossure on the movie and on several topics that are presented, still carefully laying down the plot. It's a good situating tol and it lets us see what the different characters realy are.
She clearly knows what she wants to be and that's kinda the point, she actually knew it all along, you might think. There are certain clue's and hints while Nicole's role is very fishy, sometimes she's never done before but it certainly flathers her.
She carries the movie on both hands. There are a couple of famous faces, some more famous than others. Then we get the delinquent appearence of Joaquin. Very direct and sometimes supported by invasive hard-rock music.
A pretty special twist if you ask me. But then the husband, nicely played by Matt, says 'no' and seemingly her plan can come together. Very bright but it lets us see the power of the media. This movie is full of terrific acting performances, especially the young Joaquin! It's all beautifully and acurately set in the 80's.
The ending is pretty meaningfull and I thought kinda justifying. Suprising, great dark comedy!
