Review of To Catch a Thief (1955) by Dimetre A — 10 Jul 2009
I think that this will always be the showcase film if someone wants to know, "What was so great about Cary Grant?" or "What was so great about Grace Kelly?" Kelly is at her most glamourous, and, without question, this is one of the most complex characters Grant ever played.
It's a rich caper about a retired jewel thief dealing with a copycat thief, and is forced to now play the other side of the case. Not one of Hitchcock's best, but it does feature some of the best work from Grant and Kelly.
