Review of To Catch a Thief (1955) by Roy S — 12 Aug 2012
"To Catch a Thief" is one of those guilty pleasure Hitchcocks for me. Hollywood's dream pairing of Cary Grant and Grace Kelly comes to full fruition in this film. Cary Grant plays as John "The Cat" Robie, a former cat burglar who must prove his innocence in the wake of a new burglar using Robie's exact M.
O. Grace Kelly plays Francie Stevens, the daughter of a wealthy socialite. Francie is intrigued by the idea that John might actually be The Cat. While not Hitchcock's best film, there is plenty of suspense and romance to keep you interested up to the grand finale.
