Review of To Be or Not to Be (1998) by Katie S — 28 Jun 2008
Funny and risky, a rare combination. a challenging comedy that makes you laugh and wonder at the rarity of a comedy about a group of polish actors sabotaging spy information getting out to the Nazi''s using their acting talents.
Hilarious, daring and fantastic lead performances by Jack Benny and the great Carole Lombard in her last role before dying in a plan crash. She's one of my favorites. Features a wide array of great supporting performances as well.
Mel Brooks made a scene by scene remake of this in the 80's which is not supposed to be bad so I'd like to see it eventually.
