Review of To Be or Not to Be (1998) by Benjamin W — 23 Mar 2012
Witty, charming, hilarious. Jack Benny was absolutely a laugh riot (that's -one- way to be a method actor) and Carole Lombard was absolutely gorgeous in this cutting satire. While there were definitely a lot of funny parts, there was still a very serious undertone, perhaps to help keep the seriousness of the issue at hand in the audience's mind.
After all, in 1942, this would be considered "too soon".
