Review of The Book of Henry (2017) by Benjamin W — 16 Jun 2017
The scenes involving the boys are touching, Naomi Watts personifies a broad range of maternal emotions, and the second half of the movie is an edge-of-your-seat thriller. If you want your movies to be easily pigeonholed into a standard genre, this isn't the movie for you -- and that seems to explain the some critics dislike of the movie.
But if you want a movie that's unpredictable and makes you cry, laugh, and grip your armrest until your knuckles turn white, this is the movie for you.
