I've been a fan of the books for years and I can honestly say that this movie exceeded my expectations. It was so adorable, and funny, and while it strayed from the source material in that a lot of specific scenes were left out, it stayed true to the essence of the story and the characters.
The actors were about as close to the written characters as they could get, and everyone was so talented. I loved it.
