Review of Titus (1999) by Ian L — 12 Oct 2008
A full 5 stars for this outstanding interpretation of Shakespeare's Titus Andonicus. Visually stunning and absorbing tale of cruelty, plotting and revenge, (not necessarily in that order). Fine cast and performances, Hopkins outstanding as the misguided and misled Titus.
Macabre but compelling, utterly magnificent cinema.
