Review of Titus (1999) by Willis W — 14 Feb 2011
I was a Senator in Bethany College's production of "Titus" and the final scene was very moving. Get to the end of the movie, and I'm bawling. Shakespeare was a genius. Anthony Hopkins plays Titus to perfection, Jessica Lange makes Tamora evil beyond words, Alan Cumming plays Saturninus perfectly, Harry Lennix gives me chills as Aaron, with the rest of the cast portraying their characters perfectly.
While I'll always look back and say our cast from Bethany College was awesome, this film adaptation takes the cake. Highly recommend to anyone who enjoys Shakespeare or wants to see a VERY ingenious adaptation of a Shakespeare work.
