Yes, the ship sinking is very impressive but why should you sit through nearly 2 hours and a half of dreary rubbish to get there? Cameron is an excellent director but was there really need to try and spruce this historic event up with a romance? With an event as gigantic and breathtaking as the Titanic, no.
Decent acting and brilliant visual effects do make up for what the film lacks in plot and direction.
