Review of Titan A.E. (2000) by Jason H — 03 Sep 2012
Decent sci-fi marred by two things, in my mind. One, is the dichotomy between the traditional animation and CG elements. The hand drawn elements are too choppy and create a distraction that only gets worse when more CG is on display.
The other is that the movie can't decide who its target audience should be. It has some edgier scenes and lines that seem more teen/adult targeted, while much of the rest is mainly kid-friendly. It is this that mainly holds the film back from being better.
It's not the fault of the writers, but those pesky Powers That Be. Worth at least one viewing.
