Always comapiared to Star Wars and Star Trek. If anyone has ever read any thing that looks like a book, you'll know Star Wars and Star Trek ripped off the old pulp sci-fi writers of the 30's 40's and 50's.
This movie is more along those lines of the space opera the old pulp magazines did. And thats why I love this movie.
