Can't, ultimately, unravel the enigma that was Jackie Paris, and for a work in which music plays such an important part, its original soundtrack is monotonous in the extreme. What it can do is offer an equally intriguing variety of theories, some more plausible than others, several of them tragic.
At the press screening, the film broke down around the halfway mark, plunging the room into darkness. Cue a voice from the back rows: "He's jinxed".
