Review of Tiny Toon Adventures: How I Spent My Vacation (1992) by Kyle S — 15 Jul 2009
Tiny Toons was one of my favourite cartoons as a child. I'm still a big fan of Looney Tunes, so I was excited to find this feature length movie. Perhaps a little too excited.
It is funny, of course it is, but it could have been funnier. They murder the theme tune, and I'd forgotten quite how annoying Buster Bunny is. Some of it is just random - referencing things that children won't get. And it keeps cutting between the characters (there is no single plot) and it never ties up. It really is just what each toon did for their vacation - except half of them aren't in it. The end credits are very funny however, and really make it worth sitting through to the end. As the film says:
Moral of the Story (Pick One):
1. Enjoy Your Vacation.
2. Relish Your Youth.
3. Don't Pick Up Chainsaw-Wielding Hitchhikers.
4. Feature Length Movies Should Not Have 18 Different Plots.
