Review of TiMER (2009) by Robynn S — 09 Jul 2010
Not what it could have been. All the ideas that could have been put on the screen with story were forgotten by the terrible unimaginate way they decided to carry out the story. Why not just make everyone born with timers instead of having all that work explaining the technology and people getting or not getting it. Cause then this way leads to a main character who is so desperate she spends every second of the movie searching for a guy and doesn't even think about anything else. They didn't even have the courage to follow through with the premise and we find out half way in that the 3 month timer guy has a fake timer. Then after stepping out of their premise they just jump back into it at the end and quickly forget about it. The ending is even ambiguous as to what she chooses in the end.
Starts out as a good idea, then quickly falls into a slow rom-com.
