Review of TiMER (2009) by Nancy O — 26 May 2012
TiMER is an indie film that uses technology to question our obsession with romance, and finding "the one." It's a fascinating concept, but not executed that well, as the creators don't seem to know what to do with it.
The resulting film is on the dull side. None of the fault really belongs with the cast, it's just not as engaging as it has the potential to be. I also cannot help but criticize the look of the film.
I'm not sure if it's lighting or lenses, but Emma Caufield constantly looks washed out, which is disappointing considering how lovely she is.
