Review of TiMER (2009) by Joan Z — 20 Oct 2012
Although this was a flawed backdrop to the film, explain the complicated science on a device that counts down to your spouse, I understood the subtext for it. . This was merely criticizing the online dating culture, but it mostly satires the "science" of claims from businesses like E harmony on formulaic equations that helps us determine the right spouse.
The film did drag out arguable ethics to this: if were too artificial on meeting people, are we too fixated on compatibility than being emotionally drawn, although this took a weird turn, (the machine does determine finding a spouse) it did drag out those ethical choices that we make now.
