Review of Time Bandits (1981) by Steve S — 12 Apr 2008
A ridiculous, fantastic, and playfully intelligent early piece by Gilliam. Reeks a little much of the 80s in some small ways here and there, but mostly pulls through to be entirely enjoyable throughout.
My only real complaint with the whole thing is that I wish the actors who are listed as "starring" got more screen time, since Duvall, Connery, Cleese, and Palin probably account for a total of 15 minutes of the 2 hour film, when their parts are absolute joy and definitely could've used a lot more screen time.
