Review of Timber Falls (2007) by David L — 20 Apr 2012
A good old style horror, with a freakishly sadistic plot! The intro didn't give us anything original, just the usual girl running away from madman, but madman who's only briskly walking manages to catch up with girl when she trips over thin air! Following that though, the main story became more Intriguing when a couple of young hikers run into trouble as they take hiking directions from a seemingly friendly local! Their trip soon turns sour when the couple are then taken hostage by the hillbilly locals and tortured until they agree to conceive a baby on behalf of their inbred captors.
Despite the totally inbred plot, it's quite a captivating film which is bolstered by good performances from a previously unknown cast and some sickening horror graphics. Certainly not the low budget number I had anticipated, and recommendable to all those who enjoy a good cheesy slasher!
